"Spectacularly magical...Visually stunning. If you are looking for an entertaining, wonderfully weird, and provocatively thoughtful play, then this is one you do not want to miss."

JUXTAPOSE is set in a magical-realist tenement building
occupied by eccentric characters
trying to co-exist during the sixth mass extinction.
Their lives are interrupted and illuminated
by a human shooting star
who arrives through their roof.
The show is inspired in part by the shadow boxes of Joseph Cornell and the films of Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie). Isolated objects are brought together within a frame to create poetic possibilities. As humanity teeters on the edge of the frame, JUXTAPOSE offers audiences a reminder that our shared mortality, our common humanity, the ability to laugh at fear and the limitless hope of imagination might save us
from the despair of ending.

This show is recommended for ages 10 and older
but please feel free to bring your younger children
if they are alright with loud air raid sirens, flashing lights
and some drama. There is nothing explicitly inappropriate, just slightly more serious than some of our shows.
(Don't worry, there are still laughs to be had...)
